LILJEHOLMENS STEARINFABRIKS MONTRE 1897

Liljeholmens Stearinfabriks is a Swedish candle manufacturer. The company was founded in 1839. According to the Swedish wikipedia page for the company: 'At the Stockholm Exhibition in 1897, Liljeholmens participated with an enormous crown candle, 23 meters high and 2 1/2 meters in diameter and placed in a 14 meter high brick candlestick. They also received several Swedish and international awards for the high quality of their candles.'

This medal is made of wax, which is quite appropriate considering the company that made the medal. The medal comes in a paper box with a color picture of the main exhibition building. The box reads: 'MINNE AF UTSTÄLLNINGEN I STOCKHOLM 1897.'
