BHM 568

This medal commemorates the founding of the British and Foreign Bible Society in 1804.

Though this medal is listed in BHM under the year 1804, Wyon (the engraver) was only 9 nine years old at that time. This medal was exhibited by Wyon at the Royal Academy in 1821 which is likely when this medal was actually struck.
