SPINK & SON. LONDON
Reverse:
Britannia, seated left, receiving Londinia (who is holding a bouqet and the shield of the city), Mercury, and a figure symbolizing agriculture (who is holding a sickle and resting his other hand on a globe). To the left of Britannia, two figures symbolizing industry and knowledge. A lion sits beside Britannia.
This medal is part of the City of London series. 500 specimens were struck.
It appears that several (perhaps all?) examples suffer from a die defect on the two 'O' characters in the inscription 'SPINK & SON. LONDON' on the obverse.
